The Magnesium Story

At least two-thirds of adults get less than the Recommended Daily Intakes of 400-420 mg for men and 310-320 mg for women, making Mg the second most-common micronutrient deficiency or insufficiency after vitamin D.*

Poor magnesium status can result from insufficient intake, or excessive magnesium excretion. Excessive sugar, fluoride, and zinc, physical exercise, mental stress, and antacids decrease magnesium absorption and/or increase its excretion.*

This is why Life Time Fitness includes magnesium in our ?Foundational Five?, the best supplements for foundational health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you sell Mg as a standalone supplement if it is also in your multivitamins?

Since Mg is a bulky mineral, it takes up a large amount of space within our capsules. Thus we can provide a greater amount in the stand alone for customers desiring larger amounts.

Is the supplement safe for children?

Our formulation provides 200 mg of Mg per serving, which is about 48% of the DV for adult men and 63% for adult women. Our formulation exceeds the DV for infants through children until 8 years old but could be consumed only with a healthcare provider?s recommendation. The formula is suitable for pregnancy and lactation.

Are there any interactions with Mg I should be aware of?

Please consult your healthcare provider regarding any possible interactions or contraindications.
