Good health is influenced heavily by having a healthy population of bacteria in our digestive tract.
The organisms in the gut are referred to as the microbiome and contain a mixture of mostly bacteria, but also yeast and even viruses, in a specific balance. Lifestyle choices can bring this zoo of organisms into imbalance, leading to diarrhea and other health problems.
Probiotic supplements can be a helpful source of "good" bacteria to help maintain digestive health and support the immune system.*
Life Time Fitness chose to include a diverse blend of clinically-studied Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium organisms to support a wide range of metabolic systems.*

Frequently Asked Questions
If I consume yogurt every day, do I still need to take a probiotic supplement?
Yes, most likely, because the organisms in yogurt are not necessarily able to survive passage through the stomach and populate the gut for maximal benefit.
Should I take probiotics if I am taking antibiotics?
Since antibiotics kill both healthy and harmful bacteria and can disrupt the bacterial balance in the gut, it is desirable to take probiotics when taking antibiotics. The probiotics can be taken on the first day of treatment, and continued for two weeks or longer after the antibiotic treatment has terminated. The probiotic can be taken a few hours before the antibiotic is taken each day.
Should probiotics be taken with food?
There is some evidence that if the probiotic is not enterically coated as in our product, it is better to take it just before a meal.
Is more CFU better than less CFU?
It is generally accepted that at probiotic should provide at least 1 billion CFU, with most supplements providing 1-10 billion CFU. Much higher doses than present in our formula are sometimes recommended by healthcare practitioners for combatting specific situations.
Do I need to refrigerate the probiotic?
For best shelf life, it is best to refrigerate after opening, but refrigeration is not required as long as it?s stored in a cool dry place with the lid secured and desiccant packet in place.
There are so many types of probiotics, how do I know yours is best for me?
Our probiotic provides a blend of organisms that will benefit the most individuals.
Do I have to keep taking probiotics or will the probiotics remain in my colon?
The probiotic organisms present in the capsule will remain viable in your gut for a limited amount of time; thus, it is best to continue to take the probiotic regularly unless you are advised to stop by your healthcare practitioner.
Should the probiotic capsule be enterically coated so the bacteria are not killed in the stomach before reaching the colon?
Our probiotics do not need to be enterically- coated because most of the organisms will survive passage through the stomach. Enteric coatings provide air and moisture which can be damaging to the freeze-dried organisms in the capsule.
